L.C. Pierpont is a photographer born and currently based in East Tennessee. She holds a BFA from Maryville College where she fell in love with photography and its history. She is an art advocate with focus on curatorial and programming efforts to support other photographic artists and their work, connecting them with the public. Her current body of work in progress, THE LOCAL, is a collection of portraits exploring both personal sense of self and the expression of Appalachia as essence with subjects near the artist’s home.
